Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Top ten shirtless movies. Normally I'm pissed at paging through one through ten, but this one might have been too much on one page.

Tangled is funny.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

It is pretty great. I watched a little bit this weekend and was reminded of this fact.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Heh. We just watched it last night, and I've been roaming all over the reviews at IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes because man, does it hold up over repeat viewings and I wanted to see what the professional movie watchers thought about it (answer: mostly very good things).

As someone who will have to watch every single movie the small person likes approximately nine thousand times, I'm so giddily happy to have one that so far, about 347 viewings in, looks like it will continue to be pleasurable for the next 8653 screenings.

Apparently this was one of the inspirations for the first sketches of the characters and their world. Though there's definitely a good dose of Maxfield Parrish in there too.

Because books.

I adored Tangled, and so did Sara. But I'm expecting Brave to really blow me away.

Frying pans! Who knew, right?

I am so annoyed that none of the various licensed merchandising dollsaction figures come with a frying pan. It's nice enough, I guess, that the one we have comes with three woodland friends to braid Rapunzel's hair. It's extremely important that she comes with Pascal, who was her only friend for so many years. It's vital that she should come with a frying pan, the emblem of the superlative badassery she never knew she had.
