Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I went to see HP7.2 again last night, and sat through what must have been 8 trailers. Of course, now I don't remember most of them, except a steampunky kids movie with a great-looking cast, called Hugo, and some incredibly awful looking thing called Immortals--made by the guys who made 300, and with no recognizeable storyline that I could identify.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Matt Damon looked so bad on 30 Rock last season -- it was for the bird flu (or whatever) movie. I really thought he had just lost it.

Huh. He lost weight for it? I hope he did it more carefully than he did for Black Hawk Down. I remember reading that he suffered permanent kidney damage.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh, no, sorry -- gained weight. Lost IT. His mojo -- he just looks like some dad with a bad haircut.

Contaigon? My company's going to be in it (unless they cut it). Apparently someone from Soderbergh's production office saw our truck delivering on the lot and liked our logo, strange, eh? They sent a 2nd unit team to our Atlanta office to do a couple of days of filming background stuff w/ our trucks, dock, uniforms and stuff like that while they were shooting around the CDC.

They had some of our staff walking around in the warehouse so we may get to play "spot the employee" or not depending on what film they use, if they use it at all.

World War Z movie synopsis is nothing like the book, internet melts down.

Well, dammit. I shouldn't be surprised, but I was hoping they would try to do something interesting and different.
