P-C, he was in the briefing room where Rogers was supposed to be getting a medal. When he didn't appear, but an aide came out to tell the guy at the podium, Stan was the uniformed guy who said, "I thought he'd be taller!".
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

This would make an interesting movie.
There is some new testimony that suggests the KGB killed Camus.
I enjoyed CSL quite a lot (but I agree with every problem with it you've all listed) - I find Emma Stone delightful in everything she's done and I've been a little bit in love with Ryan Gosling since he was on Breaker High. The Dirty Dancing move would DEFINITELY have worked on me.
I liked CSL a fair amount, but mostly because: Fuck YEAH Ryan Gosling. I mean, seriously. He gives me the Feelings
My thoughts exactly.
Oh, also, I felt like a jackass because, watching the ads, I thought it was weird that they would have Julianne Moore and Emma Stone in the same movie, and not have them be related, but then I totally forgot it while watching the movie and was surprised at the end. Der.
Randomness: I just caught the last 2/3 of Dogfight on Encore and cried and cried and cried, embarrassingly more than for HP7. Then, because I am obsessive about needing not just wrenching, heart-reaming experiences but masses of words about them, I went hunting and Googling for more Dogfight thoughts and I found this, which says very nearly everything I could have and then some.
I haven't thought about Dogfight in years--thanks for reminding me, JZ! Such a terrific movie. I really haven't seen too many River Phoenix films, but he and Lily Taylor were both amazing in it.
That was a great discussion, and what a great movie! I should watch it again, too.
New videos from the set of The Dark Knight Rises.
Promo shots from The Hunger Games. Jennifer looks *way* young. However, Peeta is not blond enough.
If you ever wondered why Peter Bogdonovich's first three movies were so good and the rest sucked, it's because Polly was his wife early in his career and had a tremendous impact on The Last Picture Show, What's Up Doc?, and Paper Moon.
After that she worked a lot with James Brooks, and can be credited with mentoring Wes Anderson and getting Matt Groening started in TV.
