Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Apparently Hollywood, in its wisdom, has made the decision to reveal as much as possible in the trailer, basicLly making it a mini-movie. They say that people want to know exactly what they are getting.
Or won't be getting, as the case may be. The trailer actually was useful to me, but not in a way that will make any money for the studio.
So, would Cowboys and Aliens and Apes be awesome? There could also be battleships.
This reminds me of that gag with Chris Farley and the History channel--what if history was written by ordinary people.
Watch Harrison Ford’s epic reunion with Chewbacca, it will give you chills
I dunno--it just made me sad.
But I laughed too.
I'm going with sad too. Sigh.
I balked at first but then Harrison Ford seemed like he was really enjoying himself so I did too.
Why sad? I go with funny and Ford having fun, too.
Why sad?
I hate to see families I love fight.
Emeline and I discovered Spy Kids today.
First of all - fantastic movie. I really liked it a lot and since Emeline is in full on Spy Girl mode, she loved it more than her Littlest Pet Shop.
Second of all - when Alan Cumming isn't being cast as or acting like a giant freakazoid, he's really quite good looking.
