I've read so much fanfic where Hermione gives her parents their memories back that I didn't realize it wasn't canon.
Like the supercouple, Clark and Lex!

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I can see Roth as Snape for the menacing factor, but I think Rickman brings the tragic undercurrent beautifully. Can't wait to see those final scenes in the movie. I'll be packing a hankie, no lie.
I have to confess that McKellan was the face I saw when reading the books. I was shocked that he wasn't in the movies, even after he did interviews about LOTR.
As for which franchise would be more fun. If I lived in the parallel universe where I'm besties with Peter Jackson, I would have winged my way to NZ in a heartbeat.
The Potterworld would have been more physically comfortable, but the sheer ADVENTURE of the LOTR enterprise would have been a once-in-a-lifetime gift.
Just swung by the theatre. Line is getting longer. I'm thinking about getting in it by 7 but I've never stood in line 5 hours for anything.
Take snacks and a magazine!

I think Roth would have been a sexy/dangerous Snape, but I really can't imagine anyone but Alan Rickman being Snape anymore.
Tim Roth as Snape would solve problems by beating the crap out of people.
I have a backpack ready to go, just dillydallying.
Emmett and I have tix for tomorrow night at 5:45 PST. I wanted to go to the 10:45am showing, and he wanted to see the 11:00pm showing. So we compromised.
It looks like Wallybee and I will be going this weekend. Knowing we can leave Ryan with her parents makes a big difference.
I am sad it is over, but overall, I was very satisfied with the movie. I have nits, as I tend to have, but overall it was magnificent and wonderful. I am sad.
And, a total geek. Though the funniest t-shirt I saw last night was one that said, "Snitches be crazy!"
