Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I guess the Deathly Hallows is not as obvious as it seems in hindsight.
Everybody thinks it's completely dotty. It's like believing in Bigfoot, or Nargles which is exactly why Xenophilius is into it, I guess.
Most people don't even know about the Hallows at all. Even somebody as deep into wand lore as Olivander doesn't have a clue.
It would be like handing somebody a fairytale version of Snow White and expecting that person to deduce that there were really vampires in the world. (As Tanith Lee famously riffed on "skin as white as snow, lips as red as blood..)
I love that the spell Hermione suggests Ron try to stop it raining is "finite incantatem" the wizard equivalent of the power switch. It's fitting that some guys would call tech support.

30s of a Captain America fight scene. Mucho shield action.
When Captain America throws his mighty shield...

It's not irreversible. She restores their memories afterwards.
Wait, I don't remember this part. She does?
My t-shirt is finished and I'm going to take a small nap and then shower and head off for my double feature of HP. I must also replace the candy which I bought to sneak in and that THE DOG ATE.
