I don't have Netflix, so -- this is $7.99 for streaming AND 1 DVD out? What was it before? (I'm thinking about joining Netflix, so I'm curious.)
Formatting issue. $7.99 for streaming OR $7.99 for 1 DVD out. $15.98 for both. Right now, it's $9.99 for both.

I thought I was reading it wrong. Thanks!
I fixed the formatting sorry about that.
Also they changed the way the website looks for streaming. So there are larger icons, but you have to mouse over them to see the ratings, add it to your queue, or add your own rating.
And they eliminated the sorting feature for all streaming titles except for by genre and subgenre.
So you can see all Action titles or Classic action titles but you can't sort any of those by - year, rating (1-5 stars) , or maturity level.
Technically you still can, you have to go to the dvd titles, sort them, and then look for titles that are offered both streaming and dvd.
Plus a month or so ago something happened and a lot of people had their streaming queues totally reordered. Some of them went back to normal but mine didn't.
Huh, I was going to upgrade my Internet so that I could do streaming and reduce my Netflix bill, but now maybe not.

Yeah, that bugged me. I hate the trend of BIGGER IMAGES. Um, how about some FUNCTIONALITY instead?

They're going to reduce it FOR you!
I doubt they had much choice. Their studio deals will be expiring in the next year or two, and those will be a lot more expensive next time. DVD sales are dropping so streaming revenue is a bigger deal to the studios, and now there's actually competition.
Pachter predicts Netflix's streaming content licensing costs will rise from $180 million in 2010 to a whopping $1.98 billion in 2012.

All of this is probably why they've been looking into original content as well.
All those dwarves really look like paintings. I think Kili is the first one where I was very familiar with the actor, though.
As I said elsewhere, a hot dwarf just seems all wrong. He doesn't seem to have any facial prosthesis at all!
The new pricing bites though. Beau uses physical media while I only stream. So one of us is going be unhappy or we double the price.
