I reread it last year too, but I'm feeling the need to be totally up on it before my viewing. I hope I can be sensible enough to separate the two, but I want to know when and how they diverge.
Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I don't recommend it, actually.
(And I don't want to ruin anyone's morning, so that's probably the last thing I should say about Watchmen-the-movie.)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! SO. FUCKING. DISAPPOINTING. FUCKING ZAK FUCKING SNYDER.
I appreciate the white font. My man wants to see this movie so we are going Friday. I bought the tix online already. I have not read the comic, but I have been reading about the movie so I'm pretty sure I know what happens. white font reaction:
I'm prepared to like it as much as I like the worst of the Spiderman movies. If it is better, then hallelujah.
LeN, you don't know it now, but your use of the word "hallelujah" there is both appropriate and HILARIOUS.
Oh, as usual, dear. Musical montage?
Jessica,
oh dear!
Why am I suddenly worried that Zack Snyder didn't get the memo about that song being utterly played out thanks to fanvidding ?
The second I saw that it was on the soundtrack, I started mentally preparing myself.
oh man! I had no clue.
It's not in a musical montage, but the way it's used almost makes me wish it were.
