Now I'm wondering if people have a Drop-Everything Cheese. Like, if you're at a party, say, and you see it set out on the food table, would you kick an old lady in the shins to get to it?
I am fond of smoked gouda in that way.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Lately I've been catching Emmett up on the classics of 80s comedy, so we've been digging into the Bill Murray ouevre. He loves Stripes and I think he'll dig Meatballs.
Which used to be always on cable but now I haven't seen it in a while. Fortunately I can grab a used DVD copy at Ameoba for like $2.

I know JZ has a hard-on for some kind of Guiness streaked cheese that she can never find.
Emmett would push you aside for Brie-en-Croute.
Also, I'm going to make Emmett watch high school movies with me this summer. I'm trying to come up with a comprehensive list.
So pipe up with your favorite high school flicks.
I'll start with:
Rushmore
Sixteen Candles
Ferris Beueller
Carrie
Clueless
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Dazed and Confused
War Games
Weird Science
Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club
eta: Anne beat me to it.
Is Breakfast Club your favorite Hughes movie?
I still like Sixteen Candles best.
Say Anything.
