I like the way the walls go out. Gives you an open feeling. Firefly is a good design. People don't appreciate the substance of things. Objects in space. People miss out on what's solid.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What does she know about sexy European vampires and the Brits that teach kids to kill them?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

At the Alamo Drafthouse, they have a simple rule.

If you talk or text during a movie, they kick you out.

Sometimes that pisses the movie talker off.

What follows is an actual voicemail a customer left them after being kicked out.

It is NSFW. But it is funny.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

What follows is an actual voicemail a customer left them after being kicked out.

That is awesome.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

And I thought I couldn't love the Drafthouse more. That's saying a lot for a movie theatre I've Never Been to.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

an actual voicemail a customer left them after being kicked out.

Truly, a thing of beauty.

It wasn't on LOUD, okay?

move out and draw fire

If you talk or text during a movie, they kick you out.

I'll add this to the list of places to never take Mal.

Seriously, we were doing the "if you had superpowers, what superpower would you want" thing and he said "I'd want to be able to go into movies or stories and talk to the characters and have them be able to see and hear me."

He tries his best sans superpower.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I know I'm probably not supposed to say things like "the next Lost Boys" but it's kind of the vibe I got from the new Fright Night trailer, except with less time on the vamps' side.

YES PLEASE. Ahem.

Look, I only like David Tennant *that way* in eyeliner or drag, as I've said elsewhere, but WOW, in either, I REALLY like him. (David Tennant in girl drag is now up there in my mental happy places with Jessica Alba in guy drag. It's a thing.)
