Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I got home last night and fell over asleep. Mostly dazed today.
The book description is messing with me. Cinna is supposed to be (I believe) thin and somewhat androgynous (at least with softened features), so Lennie just didn't fit my mental image.
a taller Prince could work, but Kravitz doesn't - in my estimation.
Hunger Games: Toby Jones as as Claudius Templesmith.
David, I understand all those problems/complaints with Pirates. But for me, the movie was entertaining enough that I wasn't distracted by those issues. I spent the entire film in a state of ::gleehands::, and yes, I know this means I'm an easily-entertained groundling. I'm fine with that.
The best scene, tho', was HOLY CRAP JUDI DENCH! Who, I'm assuming, was approached for that cameo with the statement "Hey, wanna dress up and have Johnny Depp nibble on your ear?"
Also, I am once again (still, forever and ever) on a quest for MOAR PIRATE JACKETS. This is only partially the fault of the movie.
Yeah, Jilli, I loved that cameo.
What did you think of the Spanish officer? I thought he looked very dashing and darkly prettyboy.
Hunger Games: Toby Jones as as Claudius Templesmith.
That is not how I pictured him at all. Huh. I am going to trust the director on all this casting, but huh.
Oh yes, the Spanish officer was very decorative. And I want his jacket.
Name That Thistle: Terrence Malick Cutaway or Nature Documentary?
Hey, that's why I have no interest in seeing a Terrence Malick film after The Thin Red Line ! And I still want those three hours back.
Name That Thistle: Terrence Malick Cutaway or Nature Documentary?
Too easy. The Malick films are better shot.
