Kind of uncanny valley for me. They tried too hard to make it look like the comic.
Hmmm. Hard to tell, I think it works for Dupond/Dupont (and Milou of course), but the Capitaine looks awful. The set direction looks cool though.
I'm more concerned that they are remaking
The Thin Man.
I'm worried about the Thin Man remake - is it goign to be "updated' or is it going to be a period piece?
Because I don't see how they can update it and make Nick and Nora stay the same.

Well, with Johnny Depp, I could see either. My real concern is casting Myrna Loy. Did they learn nothing from the remake of
The Women?
I hate to admit it, but I may be over Johnny Depp.

I know I'd like to see him do some Donnie Brosco style acting again, instead of the Jack Sparrow/Tim Burton's next project/etc. he's been doing for the last several years.

Not consistently. He did The Tourist and Public Enemies both pretty recently.

I can't be rational about that. I plan on seeing the next PotC this weekend, and I made flailyhands at the news of the release date for
Dark Shadows
(May 2012).
I thought "Public Enemies" would bring the love back, and it did, right after I saw it, but it didn't last, apparently.(At least, it's probably just my taste, and not him being so publicly aberrant that I think "Ugh, what was I thinking, paying attention to that guy?" like your Charlie Sheens and Mel Gibsons.)
Donnie Brasco was really good, though.
First photo of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, from an upcoming EW.
She looks perfect there.
