My brother (who is eerily like Tony Bourdain, only 25 years younger) really liked Kitchen Confidential, but he said that he couldn't really buy the show because there was no constant stream of blistering vulgarity. (If he had a cooking show, it would be called "Who Left Their Fucking Order In My Fucking Window, You Fucks?")

Huh. I was certain that "Meet Me Halfway" was from the Top Gun soundtrack, but it turns out it's from that Sly Stallone arm wrestling movie. Which I haven't thought about in at least two decades.

I was just thinking that today as I could perfectly recall the standup comedian who did the "Oh honey, it's the Wisemans. They brought Myrhh" bit (Cathy Ladman) but have difficulty remembering where I parked the car.
