Don't you just love this party? Everything's so fancy, and there's some kind of hot cheese over there.

Compassionately intolerant

If I decided I want to see Alexander, should I rent the director's cut or theatrical, or should I shoot myself?

I would never advocate for self-harm, but I would suggest that you evaluate the relative merits of time wasters in your life. Do you want to laugh and laugh, with a few groans thrown in? If so, by all means, see Alexander. If you don't have two hours you don't care about never getting back, reconsider.

Seriously, my standards are pretty low and that movie made me weep for my time, even though I did a lot of fast forwarding due to not having a hall deep enough to watch from.

eta: after thinking about why on earth any of those actors would need a pay check that badly, it occurred to me that they couldn't break their contracts once they were in. So, they each exhibited their loathing of Oliver Stone through their performances.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The director's cut might have more nudity in it. On the other hand, it's probably longer.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I've had the Oreo in chocolate chip. Quite yummy.

I saw Winter's Bone and True Grit today, so it's been Strong Young Female Character Day all up in here.

I watched Winter's Bone and 127 Hours today. so it's been people cutting off body parts day.

I was set to really be sorry to have watched 127 Hours, but i think it's probably in my top 3 of favorite Best Picture nominees.

tiggy - I had watched 127 Hours to complete my goal of watching all the Best Picture nominees. I was surprised to like it much more than I expected.
