The 2010 movie of The Picture of Dorian Gray?
Not bad. Trashy, campy Victorian-flavored horror. I may have to eventually get a copy.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Hey, Jilli, do you want me to send you Love Bites when I send the books? And I finally found that pink nail polish. It was not with the stripey tights.

Oooh, yes please! I will happily give it a home.
went to see I Am Number Four last night. i really, really enjoyed it. it's a great popcorn movie.
still say Alex Pettyfer is too old looking to play a teenager though. much less Peeta in the Hunger Games.
Animal Kingdom: Meh. Maybe it's because I'm tired, but I was bored the whole time and didn't really care about anyone (especially the main character, who is almost aggressively dull). Jacki Weaver was fine, but I don't see what all the hooplah was about.
It's a terrible movie, but I love Calamity Jane. I'm watching it on Netflix right now.
It reminds me of Saturday nights with my mom and sister and AMC and popcorn and singing. Me as Calam and my sister as Katie Brown, since she had the higher range. Our mom as Wild Bill.
Anyone making Oscar foods for the show next week? We're not having an all-out party this year, but will probably be having a few people over so I'm looking for food ideas. So far the internet has suggested Jesse Eisenburgers and True Grits.
The foods-inside-other-foods trend was big this year, so Inception should be a no brainer. (Anyone remember the name of that layer cake where all the layers were pies?)
Anyone making anything really fun that they want to share?
Michael Bay to produce Zombies vs Robots.
I can't wait for the Zombies vs Robots vs Cowboys vs Aliens vs Predator sequel/crossover.

That is so awesome it could be a sequel and prequel at the same time.
(All you'd need is time-travel.)
eta:
And the Zombies, Robots, Cowboys, Aliens and Predator would never be sure they were living in reality, or in someone's dream or in the Matrix or both. Plus the story could be told backwards.
They could cast Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep, and it could be Zombies vs Robots vs Cowboys vs Aliens vs Predator vs Kramer vs Kramer.
