You're wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave. So she melted... Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

I Am Number Four star Alex Pettyfer says he has been approached to play male lead Peeta Mellark in Gary Ross's upcoming adaptation

He's too skinny!

he's too old!

"Oh no! Has falling sky liquid once again caused you the sadness?" -Starfire

How old is he? He's playing a 15-16 year old in I Am Number Four

I can see him as Peeta, as long as he's not in peak physical condition.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Any pre-buzz on The Adjustment Bureau? It looks like it could be interesting...or dodder. I feel like it's the Observers from Fringe, but better looking.

Because books.

My only worry is that they were advertising it months and months ago, like early last year, and then it disappeared. So I don't know if they pushed the release date back, which is sometimes a bad sign.

I think it looks good, though I am a sucker for Matt Damon.

I missed the talk about it the first time round--I only noticed it in the previews before The King's Speech. It looks interesting, and Slattery is always a win.

Because books.

I've loved John Slattery since Homefront.

Yeah they pushed The Adjustment Bureau back from the fall to now. Official line to us (we were slated to move standees, etc for them) was that they needed "tent poles" for 2011 but since the release date is Feb, I'm thinking that the studio wasn't thrilled with the outcome. I don't think I know anyone who has seen it in screenings yet.

eta: Uni pushed back 2 other films at the same time but for the life of me I can't remember what they were, but the release dates were also in the Feb/Mar/April time-frame
