funniest Internet remark I've seen about the Elba/Perry thing:
That’s like replacing Meryl Streep with Tara Reid
Indeed.
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

I remember that I enjoyed Superman Returns when I saw it but right now I can't point to why and I know if I try to rewatch it (post Pilgrim & Chuck) it'll just be funny.
Points up to post from yesterday
But me and two other people...I don't know who, but I know there aren't many...are going to stand over here in the "Actually, I liked Superman Returns" corner and frown disapprovingly.
Me, me! But, you know, I also loved Matrix Reloaded and Magnolia, so my opinions on these matters is clearly suspect.
I watched Penelope last night. What a charming movie!
I enjoyed it too, Rayne! And a surprisingly good dramatic turn from Russell Brand.

I like Russell Brand. He was excellent in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and even better in Get Me To the Greek.
Also, his two books are very funny.
Wait Russell Brand was in Penelope? I'll have to watch that again.
I think he was only in one or two scenes.
Whew! Thankfully Tyler Perry still has Madea going on. I'd hate to think she was going to get neglected.
Oh yah. Thank the lord. I can never get enough Madea. Excuse me, can someone please catch my eyeballs as they roll by?
