You got all kinds of learnin' and you made me look the fool without tryin', and yet here I am with a gun to your head. That's 'cause I got people with me. People who trust each other, who do for each other, and ain't always lookin' for the advantage.

I love Everything Is Illuminated. The guy from Gogol Bordello who plays Alec is terrific! I might have to pull out my dvd and watch it tonight.

The Stand as a feature film? Interesting, but I don't know how they're going to chop up that huge book to feature length.

The miniseries started off so brilliantly, with "Don't Fear the Reaper" playing over the footage of the government lab post outbreak, and Ed Harris was really good as the general who ended up killing himself as Captain Trips got out of control. Gary Sinise was my favorite main character, and Jamey Sheridan was fun and creepy as Randall Flagg (but that hair was horrendous).

Hey. New board.

There's a slightly different retcon given in one of the Expanded Universe novels, in which it's explained that there's actually a giant field of black holes near Kessel. When Han was trying to avoid getting boarded, he ran very close to the holes, so close that parts of the hull got ripped of, and apparently actually shifted space-time.

Of course, both of these retcons are stupid in that Han uses the "less than twelve parsecs" thing to brag about how fast the ship is, not how good a navigator Chewie is or how reckless they are.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

this is not right.

Idris Elba was supposed to play Alex Cross in a new movie. He dropped out. Guess which Black actor they cast in his place?

You have 2 guesses.

You are kidding me!!!!!

They can't be serious. This has got to be a publicity stunt...or else, that guy really has made a deal with the devil.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Ha! He's broached the forcefield between his movies and the rest of the world, and there's no going back. Also, no chance I'll watch the movies now. That guy is poison to me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Idris Elba would have been PERFECT. I am displeased.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I'm trying to think who could possibly be worse casting for that role. I'm drawing a blank.

Cuba Gooding?

Chris Tucker?

No. Still not as wrong-headed.

This has got to be a publicity stunt...or else, that guy really has made a deal with the devil.

Or Rob Cohen did and the devil just came collecting.
