I guess I was hoping they'd go in a more outre (e.g. 2001) direction and Boyle & co. went with the more convential/commercial ending, but then tried to turn it into an outre ending anyway with the style.
Granted, it's arguable that 2001 turns into a monster movie for part of the second half (with Hal as the monster).
I love the rhythm and visuals of the start of
Sunshine.
I may only ever watch the first 2/3 again.
Also, Chris Evans.

#5 pisses me off the mostest.
Interesting list, DJ. Isn't an adaptation of
On the Road
coming out soon, though?
I think I heard that, and there's mention of it in the comments. Mostly I'm pissed at GP for The Secret History and whoever for Confederacy of Dunces.
No lie, every once in a while I will get a real bug up my skirt about TSH and will go in search of news, and when it once again turns out it's not being made I am annoyed.
It was such a great book, it is surprising it hasn't gotten made into a film yet.
It looks, from this link, like Gwynnie owns it and wants to play the lead (Camille, I think) and wants her brother to direct.
I'm most pissed about
The Alienist.
Too gruesome? Really? Compared to what?
Sense and Sensibility?

#2 made me double-check the date on the article. Nope, it's new. Odd use of tense.

A Princess of Mars is being made by Andrew Stanton of Pixar. I think under the title, John Carter of Mars, though.
