We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

Buffista Movies 7: Brides for 7 Samurai

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

It's canonical!

Yes, it is. But in the canon of Shrek.

Now tagless for your comfort.

The paint horse in Hidalgo.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Brego. Shadowfax. Goliath. And Cass Ole, the horse actor for TBS, as David says. Even with a weave.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

Tom's answer rules but my pick would be the grey Irish Draught in the riot scene in Billy Elliot.

The picture of Cass Ole on the Koko page led to others. Pictures of Arabians always bring back the description in King of the Wind, that for speed there should be as much horse forward of the withers as behind, or that the outstretched neck and head, particularly the thick, muscular Arabian neck, should measure the same as from withers to tail.

There are other beautiful breeds, but I was stuck on the beauty and symmetry of Arabs from an early age.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

True Grit was really wonderful - my only complaint was that a few of the night scenes were lit so darkly I had trouble making out the action. Fortunately the dialogue was so fantastic I didn't mind missing out on the visuals. (And I have a feeling that if I'd seen it in a theatre instead of on DVD I wouldn't have had a problem, it's just hard to get a living room dark enough for that kind of cinematography.)
