I first saw him in Roger Dodger way back when, then The Squid and the Whale, and thought he was good in both. I still thought he was Michael Cera for the first fifteen minutes or so of Adventureland.

They resemble each other very strongly, but I find I can distinguish them by my not feeling an urge to beat Eisenberg to a pulp with a lead pipe after three minutes of watching him.
