From a listing of some of the films to play at the Chicago Film Festival [link]
One of the films is called
Big Tits Zombie (Konkyu Dragon)
A raucous crowd-pleaser that is definitely not for the whole family, this 3-D spectacle pits brassy strippers against a mob of the undead, which the ladies unwittingly revive by reading aloud from an ancient tome.
I've seen 20. Just went to netflix to add
Primer
to the queueue and found
Moon
already on there.
Should I watch
S Darko
or will it just upset me?
I have heard no reason why one should watch it.
23, all but Ghost In The Shell and Inception. The Day The Earth Stood Still and Forbidden Planet are among my favorites. I'm looking forward to the next restored Metropolis, too.
I think I'm looking forward to Metropolis more than the Lord of the Rings movies!
Speaking of LOTR. I met a lovely woman today whose actual, given name is Lothorian. I spent an unseemly amount of time praising her parents' coolness.

Shouldn't it be "Lothlorien"? Or is there something else in the Silmarillion I don't know about?
I'd put Silent Running up there
I loved it when I saw it back in the early 80s (at a revival house), but dear lord I know the Joan Baez songs would make me want to plunge ice picks in my ears now.
Nothing wrong with good folk music. And Joan Baez in her prime had one of the great voices of the age. (She still has a first rate voice, but at the time she had a once-in-a-generation instrument.)
