Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Thanks. I played some arcade games back then....

Off I go (on my newly repaired bike!)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You guys shouldbprobably indicate which movie you're whitefonting discussion about, so peoplw can tell Scott from Cobb ahead of highlighting.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Good call. I usually am the one thinking all conversation in the bucket threads should be tagged, so I should be doing it here.

I saw Piranha 3D this afternoon (don't judge me, I'd intended to go swimming but the community center pool was closed). The most amazing thing about this movie is that Jack Valenti didn't crawl out of his grave to personally slap an NC-17 rating on it.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I'd intended to go swimming

... and now you'll never go near the water again!

I won't judge you, but this is the most hilarious justification ever. And so appropriate. Was it closed due to piranha's by any chance?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yeah. There's not much sub to the text in Tango and Cash. Its pretty much the closest thing to a gay action movie I've seen from a major studio, and it's really hard for me to the read the ending as anything but.

I think it remains the gayest thing I've ever seen.

I suspect it was due to the city not budgeting for 3-digit temperatures this late in the year. But I'm pissed I only got to go for a single weekend all summer. Who closes a pool down in mid-August?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Inception:

I don't think the movie works very well as it being Mal's dream. I really do feel like there are two alternatives: that Cobb is dreaming at the end or that the end is reality. I think the fact that Cobb's totem is problematic - for all the reasons Debet and others listed - is for the viewer to question the meaning of the movie's end.
