Oh, God. Oh, God. My hair. My hair! The government gave me bad hair!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Ooh, surgery~ ma for Aims!

I got a B+ in my Financial Management class, which I am psyched for- that's the class what I biffed a little on studying for on Tuesday do to Bad News Reception. I was actually pretty worried about that grade, to tell the truth.

~ma for Bartleby and bonny too.

So, I have a meeting with the department chair tomorrow morning about my appeal, which is the first step in the process. Any advice? The department chair is also my advisor AND the person overseeing the comps procedure. Also the person who emailed me the bad news last week.

My plan is to go in there and stick to my guns no matter how much she tells me I deserved to fail the exam and how weak my scholarship.

Sigh. Should be good times!

“Not dead yet!”

I hate writing query letters. It's like standing naked on a streetcorner and waiting for someone to laugh at your cellulite.

stick to my guns

This is good advice. Remember your talking points, and keep repeating the questions you want answered. (e.g., why weren't your procedural questions about the exam answered in a timely fashion? -only phrased better so it doesn't sound like an attack on the procedures she set up.) Remember your appeal is based first on their administration, not your answer.
