What should I say, though? The way I have of contacting her is through facebook, which seems like the worst possible way to send condolences.
Maybe I'll call my sister tomorrow and ask her. She might know more. She or my dad might be paying a shiva call, and I can ask one of them to tell him that I send my condolences or something.

I think having an initial contact go through your family may be a good idea. They can offer brief condolences, and then maby ask if it's okay if they give you her number. That way, there'll be a living person involved in the contact and she won't be surprised by your call.

Long day, peeked in early to see if there was a baby tea, then just now, and Woo! Hoo! YaY! I hope all those involved are doing well. Kinda extra delighted because he shares a birthday with my dear sister, although hers hasn't arrived yet.
