Ugh. It is way too hot to sleep in my apartment. I'm pretty sure it's at least 85 degrees in here. I've got a window open, but it's 78 outside, so that doesn't help too much. Also a fan on.
I have no idea why this building retains heat like this. I almost never had to actually turn my heat on in the winter, because the building was so warm already.
Looking forward to the Teas' kid.
Though, right now, I think that "you were born on Israel's 61st Independence Day" is kind of a cool trivia item.
Morning (early morning, God dammit). I'm up, henna's washed, waiting to see the results once my hair will dry up. Evil statistics are ahead of me, and luckily, no sharp object to stab myself with around. Headache's also here. Party! I kindda like the smell of washed hair after henna. It's not too strong. But for my roommates' sake, I keep the window open.
I'm planning to try henna again sometime soon. Maybe this weekend. It just seems like a whole lot of work for not much actual change in hair color. (My hair is very dark brown, nearly black. The henna really just makes it very slightly more reddish. Last time I tried it, one friend said that she could see a difference, but another friend said it looked exactly the same. The only definite difference that I saw was that I've got a few grey hairs, and they turned gold.)
Same here, Hil, with my black hair.
I like to think of it, after henna, as black hair with a red shade.
Back home. Looks like it'll be a while yet, later today or tomorrow. Wallybee is in good spirits and baby is doing well, and obviously very comfortable where he is.
The hurry up and wait thing is par for the course. I hope Wallybee is able to get some rest and gather her energy for the delivery.

We caved and turned the a/c on tonight for the first time this year. At 10 p.m., it was 82 inside, and the dogs were panting and looking accusingly at us.
Plus, I'm a whore for air conditioning. I admit it. I like my indoor temp to be 70-72 year-round. (Outside temp would be great at 70-72 year-round, too, if I were queen of the world.)
I need to be in bed, but instead I'm eating Easter candy. High quality milk chocolate, nom.
When I was a kid, and spent lots of time outdoors in the summer, my hair would get these great red highlights. Doesn't happen anymore, even when I do spend a lot of time outside. One of my older relatives once told me that I could get those red streaks more quickly if I put vinegar in my hair. I haven't tried that, though. I think half of her motivation for telling me that was to get me to spend less time in the sun so that my skin wouldn't get so dark.
Nothing beats laying idle in the sun.
As long as you're using sunscreen.
Tep for Queen of The World!
Statistics are making me feel stupid.
