"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

I didn't mean to sound like I was trying to one-up you

Don't worry, Nora, I certainly didn't read it like that.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I have to go to my 20-year high school reunion today (including a Mass, to which I wouldn't go, except that one of my best friends is receiving an award, and I want to be there for that).

Good luck, Teppy! Have fun! I'm in the throes of 20 year reunion planning right now and it's going to start stressing me out soon.

I'm am so exciting about impending babytea! I hope everything goes easily for Wallybee and billytea.

Ooof, all kinds of productivity trying to happen this weekend, poor Buffistas! Working and writing papers and whatnot!

I myself am heading out later for dance classes (though I haven't yet decided which ones, I did decide last night that none of the morning ones looked interesting) and then later tonight the "ball" of our "Hoedown". (Because this is a gay Hoedown, the guy in charge has on his badge that he is the "head ho"). Tomorrow, more lessons and another dance. The sad part being, the girl I am crushing on who I went on the confusing date with? Did not show up last night. :( BOO on her.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Re the tooth white font: Two of my wisdom teeth and the two teeth I had out recently had to be broken into pieces and pulled out. I just had local anesthetic and, while they were pretty dreary half hours of wondering why tooth pulling has changed so little since Doc Holliday, they only took about an hour total and I could drive myself home. I wouldn't recommend having all four wisdom teeth out at one time with local anesthetic, though. I had two at one time and decided to have the last two out one at a time. General anesthesia is dangerous, it makes me throw up, and it means I have to ask for help. My tolerance for unpleasant medical procedures is pretty high at this point, though. Other, probably saner, people may recommend differently.

Is this the last paper, Nora?

Oh, god. Conference calls. The good thing about them is that you can make faces and obscence gestures. The bad thing is that you can contemplate slashing your wrists.

I have spent most of the day computer troubleshooting. It's a shame that can't be done under anesthesia.

I hope little t's arrival is uneventful.

Thrive to spite them

When I had my wisdom teeth out it was out patient surgery because I went all the way out. I have really bad dentist anxiety, or at least I did, and so the oral surgeon wouldn't consider conscious sedation, just in case I did become aware of what was happening and started to panic. Evidentally there are times when people do become aware of what's going on.

It was expensive but I think it was ultimately worth it.

And my dental anxiety is pretty much gone, the last two times I went to the dentist I didn't get nervous or upset. But I still don't like getting my teeth polished, I hate the vibrations.

Also I need some advice about my cats. Dean has had some kind of GI problems since before I adopted him. He was on an antibiotic that was supposed to clear things up and he's on the special high fiber food.

Except (white fonted for details of stomach problems) he's got diarrhea very bad. It's pretty much like water and there's blood mixed in. He's had blood in his stool since before I adopted him. It was getting better but he seems to taken a turn for the worse. In fact he had blood streaked on his fur earlier when he got out of the litter box and I had to wash it all off of him.

So the thing is I'm going to go to the vet on my lunch break Monday and talk to them. He's been like this since, I'm not sure how long, and he's not as big as Maddie, granted he's always been smaller. But could he .. I dunno...die from this? I mean shouldn't the vet be worried that he's had blood in his stool for months now?

Plus I adopted them in good faith that they were healthy only Dean's not. I love him and I don't want to give him up, but I'm not sure I can keep on paying vet bills every month for him. I'm also really worried about his general health and that even though he plays and is affectionate there's something seriously wrong with him that's going to do some real damage.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I wouldn't recommend having all four wisdom teeth out at one time with local anesthetic, though. I had two at one time and decided to have the last two out one at a time.

I considered getting two out now and two out next year to save money, but I've already waited so long to get them out. It would have been better to do two last year (when my dentist first told me to get them out) and two this year. I don't know what they'll be like a year from now. I'd like to save a lot of money, but I'd also like to only go through this once.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Askye, we had an issue with that just this past week or so. We scooped up a specimen and dropped it off at the vet so they could analyze it, and sure enough, one of them has parasites. They are both getting the anti-parasite meds though. (we suspect it's Marley, but we couldn't catch one of them leaving the offending poo.)

Is this the last paper, Nora?

YES IT IS!
