Ways in which Aimee is not the brightest girl: I keep a box of granola in my desk to eat with yogurt in the mornings. I am currently out of yogurt, so have not been eating in the mornings. Today I thought to myself, "Self. Suck it up and put some hot water in the flipping granola. Yeah, it's kind of gross, but you are hungry, self, and therefore must eat."
So I do and I eat it and it tastes like really yummy oatmeal. And then it occurs to me - GRANOLA IS OATS! OATS IS OATMEAL!!
It's like I'm a part of some crazy Soylent Oat conspiracy.
So far today, I was woken up by city workers who wanted me to move my car so they could cut down the tree in my yard, and then I spilled tea all over myself. I don't think this is going to be a good day.
And happy birthday to Maria and Kristin!
Happy Birthdays, MFN and Kristin!
I've driven in the VA suburbs of DC long enough that I know the patterns. But once I go into the city or into Maryland, I don't do so well. Not many rolling stops because, when you pull up to the stop sign, you're usually at least fifth in line.
I did fairly well in LA/Orange County once I realized that the surface streets move faster than the freeways. Yes, you stop at more traffic lights. But once the light turns green, you actually get to move forward.

sj, I hope the day gets better! That sounds like my Monday this week when I went all day with coffee stains on my yellow shirt, which I spilled half-way to campus.
Happy Birthday, Kristin!!!
Happy Birthday, Maria!!!
Happy Birthdays, Kristin & Maria!
Can I request some ~ma for my cousin's new baby? She gave birth to him via C-section 6 weeks early because they were worried about his heart beat. Baby A is home with a heart monitor now. Everything seems ok so far, but I'm sure he and his family could use a little of the powerful buffista ~ma.
Happy Birthday Kristin and Maria!!
Things-go-well~ma for your friend's baby, sj. And that they rest of the day goes well for you, too.
I set my alarm so I'd get 8 hours of sleep, which is usually more than enough. I slept through the alarm and didn't wake up until an hour later. Guess I really needed the sleep.
