this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

vw, ack! What happened?

I used the neti pot and took Mucinex.

Can you take sudafed? Sometimes a sudafed + mucinex double-whammy is effective.

Also, maybe do the neti pot again in a few hours.

vw, ack! What happened?

I was driving along, and took an exit ramp from one highway to another, and the driver in front of me STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ON-RAMP. Ahem. I may still have an issue with that. I swerved to miss him, but clipped him. Here's a picture: [link]

His car barely had any damage. No ticket was issues, which is good for me. But, DUDE! HE STOPPED.

I have acquired a thermometer, which tells me my temperature is 94.6. That seems not right. I tried again, and got 95.2.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

Yikes. Yikes! Hil, hope the sinuses clear. Ugg, I hate how clogged sinuses can drain the energy from everywhere else.

VW!! What happened?!? Glad you and Toto are ok. Is it something insurance can cover? Sure ya gotta come up with deductible, but that's less than everything, right?

hey omnis, what's your OK Cupid ID? I'd love to leave a note on your profile about how wonderful you are- that might help you get some nibbles.
It's been awhile since I logged on. I think it's Renn_Man (as in Renaissance Man, since I work in the tech side of the arts. ya, that might not be helping.). I probably should come up with a new profile and name. I dunno. Take a look at it. Feel free to give me edit suggestions on the profile. I'm not good at telling about myself. Very self conscious of the crutches thing. When to tell, don't want to scare away, yadda yadda yadda.

You're my inspiration, Omnis! I have never known anyone who was better about money management, especially when it comes to stretching a small paycheck. Getting yourself to a debt-free place after years and years of sacrifice and frugality is so impressive. I don't think I'll ever be as good as you, but I'm trying.
:: blush :: You are good too! The big problem was, you've had a few years from hell for your bank account. But the fact that you have pulled through it, and kept your head above water the whole time! Dude! That is like drop-force steel strong or something. My big debt tip is, don't make one big payment, spread it out to reduce the interest gained. So instead of $100/month, pay $25/week or $50 every 2 weeks. Same amount of cash out per month, but you reduce how much interest you are accruing, thus saving money.

...two weeks later she meets the girl of her dreams and forgets all about me.
Impossible to forget all about you!

So. um. I had a minor shouting match with my designer just now. It was wrong. But he was yelling at me and not listening to what had caused his panic!mode. I am not happy with myself. All seems to be better now. But not my most professional of moments. Funny thing, if you have all the drums cued into the headphones, and then you cue to listen to the reeds, and complain that the patch must be wrong because all I can hear is drums.... uggg. He was saying it of all the non-drums mics. And since he had me in panic mode, it took a few minutes to realize the problem (since I was double checking patch, not looking at the board). I need to let it go. :: breathe ::

All is well that ends in pizza.

VW, from someone who had to pay double insurance rates for a few years because I had two "not my fault" accidents in a year, please make sure the insurance company and the police indicate that the other party was illegally stopped on the ramp.

I didn't want to push it and paid through the, um, nose.

Hil, you need to warm yourself up. I recommend external warmth over taking warm liquids internally. Drinking hot liquids at this time might fool your body into opening blood vessels in your extremities, actually lowering your body temperature further. So, hot water bottles, electric blanket, or if possible, put blankets in the dryer to get warm. I'd be wary of using a bath or shower either, unless you have people around you who can monitor the water temperature, and your state of alertness - too sudden changes could bring on shock.

vw, I'm glad you and Toto are ok.

I think the really low temp might have been because I'd just come in from outside. It seems to have settled at 96.5 now, which still seems too low, and I'm still sweating. And also shivering.

Kristin, congratulations on beating this debt! Here's to conquering the rest, as well!

Yeah, I'll be making that clear on my version of the report. We'll see what happened. I didn't get a ticket, so that's in my favor.

Ok. I'm off to bed. Thanks for the support, guys!

“Not dead yet!”

So glad both you and Toto are okay and that Gracie suffered minimal damage, all things considered.

As for the moron who decided it was a good idea to stop on the on-ramp, one can but hope that a plague of frogs will come pee on his head.
