Now ask me if I'm talking about The Boy's french toast, or about Barb in that corset.
'Jaynestown'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Nom nom nom.
Now ask me if I'm talking about The Boy's french toast, or about Barb in that corset.
My CSer brought me coffee. From Starbucks.
She'll never know how much that means. I was trying not to jump up and down while giggling "this is the place all of my e-friends are talking about! It's really from there! It IS a small world!".
Not crazy.
I'm enamored of the Trosky's ashes story but I think if there was any truth to it it would have been reported in the news media.
My favorite donut-based donuts, in no particular order, but off the top of my head, subject to later revision, and now mostly in the past due to Diabetes:
- Custard filled, chocolate frosted Jelly Donut type, sometimes called "Bavarian creme" filled.
- French crullers, but only those done right, where it's a light pastry-type, and preferably dipped in a rim of chocolate icing, but I'd eat 'em plain or with white icing.
- I had a custard-filled french cruller once.
- Maple-iced bavarian-filled long johns. Sometimes with nuts sprinkled on top.
- A properly-made Eclair.
- A properly-made Apple Fritter, where the apples and cinnamon create a flavor explosion in your mouth.
- A properly made raised donut of the type called "Old Fashioned" where the dough bursts apart on the top and if they put enough nutmeg and spices in the batter
The chocolate filled one Andi was talking about sounds good...
My aunt just went into induction of labor. This will be my 12th cousin (my mom has 5 siblings).
I had to count 3 times, and I hope I remember everyone.
Hee. I have that problem, too, Shir. On my dad's side, I have 8 cousins and...hold on, counting...those cousins have a total of 13 kids. On my mom's, I only have one. She's about to turn 18, so no kidlets for her, thank goodness.
All of these 12th cousins are on my mom's side. Ages 30 something (I think) to... well, soon one day old (the one after her is 2, I think).
My dad has two sisters, but none of them had (yet?) children.
I only have one first cousin, but a ton of second and third cousins.
I don't even know how many kids my cousins have. Only two of the four of them have kids- we're just not close.
I only have 5 cousins on my Mom's side of the family, but due to the way our property in Canada is distributed, I'm more often than not counting all the 2nd cousins too. (The original house was owned by my great-grandfather, then split up among my grandfather and his two brothers, and so on. Now four generations down, the house is owned by 23 cousins. No wonder branches of the family keep splitting off and building their own cabins...)
