ugg. So. That 10 minutes till dinner break. Ya. NSM. Asshat ass't didn't set up the equipment last week, he merely set it out. Nothing labeled, Nothing connected. Nothing. So dinner break was up there doing that. When I confronted him, he was like "I figured we would do that today" or some bullshit. So then I finally get away 2 hours later, and while I go pick up food, all hell breaks loose downstairs. My dept is in ruins. Equipment sucks. Personel Suck. It's a big fucking musical and nothing works. I was given specific instructions to not go over budget, so I'm trying to get everything to work for nothing, and of course failing. Designer is flipping out. And I feel like a fucking useless failure. So boss comes over, and is like "oh, just buy new DI's and 3 new mic elements. It's only $1500." Ya, but I only have $600. "so". SO? SO!!! You fuckin' told me if we go over budget people will get laid off. I sure as hell don't want to get furloughed for a few weeks. so. ugg.

People totally pull the "Oh, they have a lot of kids? They must be Catholic" thing all the time. I find it offensive because it implies that they had the kids because they felt obligated to. My aunt, who is the youngest of eleven, really doesn't like it.
