Hi all and thanks for the advice this AM.
I went straight to his cube and said "About last night.. They weren't talking about food, were they?"
Turns out although he stood up and said it, he actually thought I was being clever on a whole other level and his shout was mostly in jest and apparently fit in with whateverthehell they were saying.
So, basically count me as clueless, but lucky.
Nevertheless I shall be careful, in the new office space, you never know who is listening and under what context they may take things.
The day got better.
ION:
Happy belated Birthday, Drew!
Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes yesterday. As is my way, I just got home from working about 20 minutes ago, so it was a pretty typical birthday for me. I just wanted to let all the Buffistas know that it's so wonderful getting Birthday wishes here.
Oh, connie. I'm sorry for the both of you.
May good news and medical breakthroughs happen ASAP.

ND, I hope you can find sometime to properly celebrate your birthday on a day when you are not working.
Happy belated birthday, my initial twin!
ETA: Andi says someone posted this earlier, I must have skipped and skimmed. I don't care, this is cool.
I don't watch any Idol shows, I don't watch much TV at all any more, so I may have missed the boat on some things, but I happened upon the story about a 47-year-old competitor on Briton's Got Talent.
Do yourself a favor and spend seven Minutes with Susan Boyle on YouTube: [link]
I love watching the judges jaws drop.
We has snow. Lots of snow with more coming. CJ is bummed that his school isn't closed today.
I loved Simon's eyebrows going up by about note three.
Some curmudgeon on EW.com was saying he didn't get it-- that her voice wasn't any big deal. Wanker. Her voice is untrained, sure, and no doubt she was nervous as hell (I know I would've been!) but it's definitely the real deal.
I was waiting for the judges to say, "Ok, everybody else can just go home. This is it."
Yeah, that's not how those shows work, but still...
