I skipped The Foutainhead and read the much shorter Anthem. Same philosophy in surly digest form.
Happy birthday, ND!
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Yes that's what I did in junior high. I have no choice now. It's book club. It's the law!
Next month's pick is Our Band Could Be Your Life though. That should be fun.
he he ... just saw the Texas Observer's story on the tea parties. The first photo is a gem.
Happy birthday Drew!

{{vw}} I just got back from visiting my brother who shares the lizard brain with yours. I have perfected the art of talking about the things we agree on. From time to time a remark may come out from either one of us, but we have reached a point of tolerance, for each other anyway. I just don't know what happened to him. We agreed on everything when we were kids. He even hitchhiked to DC to protest the war in 1969 when he was 14! He came back 3 days later with tear gas soaked clothes. Then 34 years later we were on a camping trip together the day the US invaded Iraq and he argued vigorously that there would be celebrating throughout the country and that the whole thing would take less than a week. He still believes they were involved in 9/11 and had weapons of mass destruction. I love him, but there are just things we can't talk about anymore.
Hi all! Was gone a couple days mixing business with family visit. Skipped to end.
Happy Birthday ND!
Happy Birthday ND.
Hubby had an Incident Tuesday night that felt very much like one of his heart attacks, but it mellowed out enough that he decided to forego the ER. He went in to his cardiologist this morning, who confirmed that, yeah, mild infarction. Cardiologist said he can expect to have those for the foreseeable future.
I have a very private bet with myself on whether I'll be a widow by the time I turn 50 (two years). I haven't put anything down on either side yet, but it's on the mental books. I try not to think about ten years further down the line.
Theoretically, a breakthrough could occur. One for his joints would be nice, too. But I've known his funeral wishes for over a decade, and I've begun quietly thinking about how I'd pay for it. This isn't how I was expecting to spend my middle-age.
Shit, connie. I'm sorry.
