You're right. He's evil. But you should see him naked. I mean really!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

But why, vw? (I admit, I may not be the best person to answer this question, given that I refer to my brother as the Prince of Darkness.)

But given what you posted in LJ, I'd say a whack upside the head with a heavy plank wouldn't be out of order.

He just added pictures of the protest...featuring my nephew with a price tag on him. Blech. I know it's not worth going to him about again, so I'll just bitch here. But, dude? Hypocritical much?

Vigorous cluesticking, yes

See, but that doesn't work! I need a new method. Dad says I need to accept and let go, and that's partly why I'm not saying anything. But it still just makes me cringe when I see that stuff on FB...so much so that I've considered de-friending him or even leaving FB.

“Not dead yet!”

Y'know, if only for your own peace of mind, I'd defriend him. You don't need the added stress of the continuous reminders of his boneheadedness.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

featuring my nephew with a price tag on him

Because of the significant tax deduction he brings to the family?

This whole things just smacks of a party called on their shit and deciding to go on the offensive and be whiny as hell about... what now?

It's crazy because I love him so much. And he's got my back like no one else, but our political differences make me scream. I don't know he could watch me live my life and have the struggles and fights I've had and still hold the beliefs he does. I've stopped taking it personally, but dude.

No, it's how much of Obama's budget is his responsibility already.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

No, it's how much of Obama's budget is his responsibility already.

The response to that is, how much of Bush's war chest will the kid be paying. vw, I'm thinking you defriending the brother will be least controversial. It's not like anything use of reason will sway him.

As for tomato soup, yes I have a very easy, very quick recipe, that is only slightly more work than reconstituting condensed canned stuff. It makes use of canned tomatoes - home canned, tomato sauce, or any variety in between. I don't have time to type it out now, but I would be happy to, after work. So anyone who wants it, please email me, lest I forget. Profile addy should be good.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I don't know he could watch me live my life and have the struggles and fights I've had and still hold the beliefs he does.

Because those beliefs are effectively a faith. Because straight white men hold a place in society that makes it very hard for the blinders to come off. Because he can view your struggles and fights as exceptions, and probably does.

I've come to the conclusion that such a mindset is nearly impossible to shake. The myth of the Individual vs. The Eeebil Government seems to be embedded in the lizard brain or something.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Althea Crome On Knitting Miniature Sweaters & Gloves For Coraline

A 2-min. video. She says it takes between six weeks to six months for her to design an knit one of her miniature sweaters. She had been doing this a while before she was asked to knit stuff for the movie Coraline.

He does. That's what he always says, "You're not one of them."

Thank you for that. Really.

Perhaps some of those beliefs could be shaken, but lots of those people only trust Fox, right-wing radio, etc. so they never get confronted with reality.
