sj, my condolences.

Hil, you got any spare slings? I'd avail myself of them for the airport and hope it engendered kindness. Or just ask for help at the counter. I'm one of those people that always helps out parents travelling solo with wee ones and folks who are visibly having physical issues, but if I don't see a cue, I don't know. I hope you meet a helper tomorrow.

So I am soon up to date on LOST. 5 seasons in a few months, right? I go to add LOST to the DVR. It's on the same time as LIFE. Not fair. Want both shows. t /whine

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Hil}}} That is completely unfair. Feel better.

I do have a sling, but I'm not sure if I can handle much of anything with backpack and luggage if I've only got one arm free.

Well, I just got my electronic paystub and it includes a $200 spot bonus. After taxes, I get an added $125, but hey, anything is nice. I just have no idea why.

Hil, bring the sling, and when you check in at the airline, tell them you are injured and will need assistance at that airport and when you arrive at the next airport too. They will get someone to help you.

Thanks sj.

Now I'm packing my suitcase. I can't find my red shirt with the ruffly collar that I wanted to wear. Where did it go? I've worn that shirt only once before, and I'm sure I put it back in my closet afterwards.

Nice!!! My paycheck finally had the stimulus package tax cut, to the tune of a whopping $17.50 more for 2 weeks. (Even so, I'll take it, and in fact, when I opened my paystub and saw it, I yelled, "I love you, Obama!" Only one co-worker even asked me why.)

Found the shirt. Trying not to freak out about everything in the world. Being nervous about the talk makes me kind of nervous about everything.

I packed one pair black pants, red ruffly shirt for Sunday when I'm presenting, choice of shirts for Friday night and Saturday -- short-sleeved light blue sweater, and 3/4 sleeve white with embroidery -- and plain blue shirt for the plane back home. Four pairs underwear, three pairs socks, two bras. Airplane liquids bag has body wash, deodorant, contact lenses, contact solution, anti-inflammation gel, and toothpaste. All the stuff for my talk is on a flash drive, which is in my backpack. iPod, which has eBook reader loaded with one Agatha Christie, one Elsie, and Jungle Book, is charging. Medications are on the table so that I can take them tomorrow morning and then put them into my backpack. What am I forgetting?
