ION, my best friend just told me I look exactly like Geena Davis in The Fly, only with non-80s-hair.
Oh, no. You are way prettier than Geena Davis.
ita, I hope you keep feeling better as you recover from this surgery. Much continued ~ma for good results.
SJ, careful, my skill at remembering names is horrid. Pix & ND will give you better details. I'm just reminiscing of yummy food in CA, and missing my friends in the Golden State.
No worries, omnis. Tomorrow will be spent obsessively googling and getting directions.
I went to physical therapy today, and the physical therapist thinks that some of my nerves might be getting caught in something in my neck and sending pain signals that seem like they're from my shoulder. So, we're going to work on my neck for the next few weeks.
Also, I used the online system to make an appointment with my doctor about the shoulder. The way it works is, you say when you want an appointment (with a choice of next week, next month, or specifying some later time), and what days and times you're available, and they email you back within a day or two to let you know your appointment time. I requested next week. I got May 7.
That's just crazy, Hil.
Barb -- get that hemoglobin up! I just had a co-worker go through a transfusion for a very quickly dropping iron count. right now, for my co-worker , the cause is mysterious.

Heh. My dad goes to the VA and they've managed to actually eliminate the first step. He just gets letters in the mail every so often telling him when and where to show up. And changing it is a royal pain.
OTOH, he's never had such regular health care in his life. Or needed it, probably.
Hil, I don't even know what to say about your doctor's appointment system. Here's hoping the PT on the neck will help....
ita! Good to see your pixels, love! Sorry you had to overnight in the ER, but glad to hear you're feeling a bit better.
Barb - glad they gave you the good stuff, mate!
Hey, ita,it's good to see you!
Ooh,Washinton Fields is Gina Torres' new pilot! I hope it's good; I love her.
"Were your wonky girly parts exposed to gamma rays, causing them to develop superpowers?"
If they were, mine are going to be jealous. And pissed. Hey, Barb! I hope you're feeling...well, I know you're not GOOD, but ok. Have you have ice cream yet? I ate quite a bit of orange sherbet in the hospital.
Ugh, Hil, that bites. My doctor's office is all nice, middle-aged ladies and they know my name. That's kinda depressing.
Um, I...haveadate.
Yikes! But fun!
Yay for date-having! Go Erin! Go Erin! Go Erin!
