It's simple. I slap 'em around a bit, torture 'em, make their lives hell...Sure, the nice guys'll run away, but every now and then you'll find a prince like Spike who gets off on it.

Buffy ,'Get It Done'

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

If I'd known it was causing nightmares, I would have stopped posting about it. I was mostly reading as a distraction from my shoulder hurting, and I'm really sorry that it was causing other people pain.

{{{{Hil}}} The books are so completely boggling, I can see how they would be an effective distraction. And I know you were not trying to hurt anyone.

Not javachik

If you can secure the screen so that it doesn't flap, and keeps the gap that is probably what attracted them in the first place, that would be optimal. But yeah, what JZ said. There's a reason for the saying "bird brained."

Long time, no read, no post. I thought I'd work late then hop on BART and go have Thai food at the awesome food court underneath Nordstrom but it got too late. Reading Bitches and eating dark chocolate + hazelnuts is fun but probably not the best dinner in the world. Tasty yes.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

I was unable to avoid the seasonal aisle. Orange cream Cadbury eggs are indeed wondrous things.

I managed to make it to dancing (er, by deciding a 20 minute $50 cab ride was totally worth it over taking the 2 hour $2 bus which would've meant I just got home and went to sleep). Apparently missed my friends who I didn't expect to be there, but DID see FacebookStalkee. Who danced with me, but was with a whole group of friends, talking in a corner, which made it hard for me to mad hit on her. Dangit. But I will email her later.

Apparently word of my breakup has gotten out, because GILF and her crew, who have steadfastly ignored me for the past many months, as I attended dancing with the ex, suddenly were all friendly and even invited me to go to the other dancing (there's two dancing things that happen the same evening, and one keeps going later). I decided what the heck (though after their bizarro petty treatment, I don't intend to actually be FRIENDS with them, but...I wanted to dance!).

So that's my story of the evening. After some bizarro evening in Baltimore last night (in which the evening was...pretty much crap until about 2:30AM. After which it was just fine. Ahem.) And then about 12 hours of travel today.

Yay for dancing. Boo for GILF and her crew. I will never like them.

In other Seasonal Aisle news: the chocolate mousse Peeps were disappointing.

Chocolate mousse peeps?? How does that work? Are they marshmallowey covered in chocolate? Marshmallow-y with chocolate in the middle? Chocolate flavored marshmallow peeps? Just...chocolate peeps with a lack of actual peep-osity?? EXPLAIN!!!

I'm sorry to hear of all the lay-offs. It sure can be very worrying.

All is well that ends in pizza.

A review of Chocolate Mousse Peeps: [link]

However, these are awesome broiled. The center becomes frothy and runny and the sugar dust becomes a crunchy shell. I put them in the toaster over for 3 minutes. Be sure to have them on foil or parchment or else they run all over the place. You also might need a spoon to eat them. Microwaving also gets the same soupy center, but the outside doesn’t get crispy (so it’s the confectionery equivalent of trying to make pizza in a microwave ... it’s edible but it’s not the same).

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Is it possible to have the flu without running a fever? I'm exhausted, and all my joints ache.

Our wings are not tired.

My son and I went through that recently, Anne. We were wiped out by the slightest effort and everything hurt. There was coughing and headaches in the mix too. No fever. We didn't do anything for it except be lazy and drink a lot until it passed. His was a day, mine 3. Resilience of youth.

It means you are working to hard! Take a rest.
