Our wings are not tired

For Pasadena also look at Ontario airport. About the same distance as LAX but the freeways are typically easier to traverse between Ontario and Pasadena.

I do the drive from Pasadena to Costa Mesa quite a bit and come to about 2 miles away from John Wayne Airport. Absolute best case on travel is 45 minutes. It's about 52 miles. Worst it has taken me is 4 hours. Average is about 90 minutes.

Thanks, ND. Would after 8pm driving likely be worse or better?

Our other option would be to stay in the Huntington Beach area and just drive to Pasadena for the get together, but then I was thinking that it would be nice to be near the Huntington Library if I needed to escape somewhere the next day, and that is closer to Pasadena, right?

My mother thinks I'm crazy to even consider going, but TCG is being very supportive of whatever I need to do. I am a little worried about mixing him with California traffic, though.

Tea:

It looks like the get together is going to be pushed back by a couple of weeks due to the family emergency of the friend that is planning it, so I have a little more time to obsess about these details. In the meantime I going to try to make my brain relax a bit and try to concentrate on the fact that we will be babysitting for the world's cutest 6 month old tomorrow, who will hopefully not be sick this time.

I'm sure he'll be fine... it's not like he has to drive on the left side of the road!

Hey, I got out of the apartment last night. It was very exciting! I hung out with girfriends in an apartment that wasn't mine aftereating a VERY NOM BLT in a bar.

There was much hilarious laughter! It was fun. YAY!

And tonight I go out to a RESTAURANT and then DRINKS.

MOJO RISING, MOTHERFUCKERS! (Although I can't wear heels yet. Neg mojo points.)

He just has to stay on his toes. LA traffic is full of surprises.

I do not have pie, but I do have Irish soda bread!
