Damn it! You know what? I'm sick of this crap. I'm sick of being the guy who eats insects and gets the funny syphilis. As of this moment, it's over. I'm finished being everybody's butt monkey!

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

The status is NOT quo.

I'm all for looking at Aimee's boobs, on or off the TV screen.

What? You know you were all thinking it.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I did not know that Aims was on West Wing and the Practice. Which episode of the Practice?

Our wings are not tired.

I don't watch either show, but I would totally watch Aim's boobs.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Which episode of the Practice?

It's an episode called "Victimless Crimes". I flirted shamelessly with Michael Badalucco. And he with me. It was awesome. I totally would have slept with him.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

Spring Break time!

Well, OK, I'm going to do some work tomorrow. But I just taught my last class.

And, in "Are you kidding me?" news, I just got an email from national Hillel. (I ended up on their email list when I signed up for Yom Kippur services a few years ago.) The subject is "Help protect our students." I usually just delete these, but I figured that I'd see what the students need to be protected from.

Turns out, they need to be protected from people who don't agree with them about Israel.

Publications such as Inside Higher Ed, JTA and The Forward have all reported about incidents on campus:

* At San Jose State, the Israeli Consul General was forced to end his speech early due to heckling;

* At New York University and the University of Rochester, groups of students occupied campus buildings and demanded measures supportive of the Palestinians;

* At Cornell University, students involved with the Islamic Alliance for Justice lined pathways with 1,300 black flags to commemorate the violence in Gaza,

They have got to be kidding me. The first one, I can maybe see including in this. The second one had nothing whatsoever to do with Hillel. And I cannot see any possible way to view the third one as something that students need to be "protected" from.

So, yeah. It's an email appeal for money to protect students from little black flags commemorating people who were killed. I'm wavering between being outraged that they're actually asking for money like this and being furious that, since I'm a Jewish university student, they claim to represent me.

(And there actually was a fairly disturbing incident recently at York University in Canada, which would have made far more sense to include than the flags. Now I'm wondering why they didn't mention that.)

move out and draw fire

Well, today was a suckfest trifecta.

The only silver lining is that Mal seems to have gotten over The Clone Wars, and moved on to watching Lilo and Stitch over and over.
