It requires advance planning and a sneaky diversionary tactic to get him in.
Whenever I have to take Amarna to the vet, the first thing I do is make sure she's not in the bedroom and I close the door. Only then do I take the carrier out of the hall closet and either pull her off of whatever perch she's on or out from under the computer desk to tip her into it (I put it on a big slant and then get her front paws and head in--the rest of her follows).
As soon as I walked in their door and said hello, no exaggeration, he came out of the hallway, walked right up to me, and flopped down on my feet to be petted. They were astounded. There was no question at that point that he was coming home with me.
Awww, so sweet!!
Love that cake.
And thanks for the ma~~~.Just knowing people are pulling for him should help.
Yes, lots of new-job-ma for your DH, beth.
I'm pulling for him, beth.
I have a very important announcement.
Did we know about this? [link]
sumi, my memory is bad -- what did the 'sode entail?
Well, it was like having bits of me "asleep" - but at the pins and needles stage. (My doctor sent me for a CT scan and they didn't find anything.)
Hmmm. It's good that the CT scan didn't find anything, but that's still a weird symptom. My fingers are crossed that it continues to just be nothing.
My doctor's office called and they want me on 325 mg of aspirin - or rather they wanted to make sure that was the dosage I was taking. (But it's not - previously, I had been told to take "low dose" aspirin and the stuff I've been getting is about 80 mgs of aspirin. So, I guess I'll be stopping off at Walgreen's and picking up more aspirin.
Bright side? All the labs I had done last Saturday (Halloween) came back normal.
Job ~ma for Matt, beth.
'sode ~ma, sumi. May they figure it out, fast.
Meanwhile, I hate people. Not you people. Those people. You know who I mean.
Job~ma for Matt.
Wait? One of us is normal? how did that happen? (Sumi, glad the test came back good, sad it doesn't explain the episode).
Sparky, you ok over there?
So, a semi-rhetorical question. If the installation company turns over drawings that as stamped "As Built", but they aren't "as built", can they be called "as built"? Or did they just add that stamp to the old drawings? And yes, there is a LOT of grumbling in that question.
