We have a raw food "cook book" which actually requires some low heat or dehydration for some recipes.
So in addition to the horribly muscle aches today, I've started getting cold sweats. I'm really over this virus.

Cash, I'm so sorry you're so sick.
Thanks, Kristin. I feel bad for whinging so much. I don't get sick very often and I'm really bad at it. I'm also shocked at how hard hitting this virus is. I swear, I feel like I have a broken rib every time I cough.
Ugh, Cashmere. I hope you recover soon.
offers gentle, non-rib-bruising hugs to Cash.
No, you aren't whining. Being as sick as you are sucks. I hope you feel better soon.

So I did come to resolution with the honeymoon/wedding lodging issue. We still were unable to book the first night with points, but I was able to talk the resort into letting us book a single night separately (they usually only book two or more nights at a time) since we will be staying the five nights after that. It wasn't cheap, but it's only a couple hundred more than we would have spent at another hotel, and now we'll get six nights straight instead of having to switch hotels after the first day. It's worth the cost, I think, and now I can stop worrying about it.
Poor Cashmere.
I have no idea why I'm so hungry tonight. I had ravioli for dinner (frozen, with tofu filling -- not great, but OK), then the chocolate pudding, then an English muffin, then two carrots worth of carrot sticks and 20 grape tomatoes dipped in salad dressing, and I still feel hungry.
That's a relief, Pix. Sucks that you couldn't get the cheaper rate but I hope it's a load off your mind and you can get to the fun part of wedding planning.
Owen just lost his second tooth! We were letting him stay up late and he came up from playing the Wii with a new gap.
Yay for resolution, though sad it cost so much!
I just saw "Whip It", and it was adorable cute.
Was talking with a pediatrician the other day about the chicken pox vaccine and he was saying it doesn't last very long (only several years) and they're finding kids are getting chicken pox now when they're 10 or so (when it wears off), instead of younger, and that wasn't really the plan. So ...I can kinda see wanting to just get chicken pox and get it over with, in that case! :)

Yes, yes it is! I think I've finished most of the planning/coordinating at this point. I've bought dress, bustier, and shoes (still need to get dress fitted and get shoes dyed, but that's on my to do list for next week); reserved flights and hotels using miles, points, and cash; coordinated travel and lodging for my friend Kat (a NYC professional photographer who is going to take our pictures as her wedding gift to us!!); reserved the restaurant where we're having the ceremony; reserved wedding coordinator who's taking care of the ceremony details; emailed officiant about the ceremony (though there's still some more details ND and I need to work out with him); reserved and paid first half of LA reception venue/food; oversaw design, gathered addresses, and sent out Save the Date cards (working on invitation design with our friend C. now); worked out a date for the Northeast informal celebration with my parents; designed/created wedding website; figured out registry options and set that page up, including registering for some "stuff" for those who don't want to do the charity or other option; bought ND's wedding band and am currently having a similar one designed for me since they don't make the same ring in women's sizes....um....I think that's everything. I still need to take care of a lot of details, but the big stuff is mostly done.
Sorry, that's a lot of wedding rambling. I don't think I'd realized how much I've done in the past couple of months.
