I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I want to bitch slap the swine flu partiers. I'm not usually paranoid about illness but I'm fairly certain I have it. Vice-like headache, fever, chills, vomiting, coughing, dizziness.

I need to call someone to watch Liv tomorrow because I know I can't function.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think I've decided who else I'm going to ask for a recommendation. It's a professor who I've had for classes several times, and I did pretty well in those classes. I did really well in the last class I took with him. Also, at least twice that I can think of, when a student in one of his advanced undergrad classes needed a tutor, he specifically recommended me.

Also, he's my officemate's advisor, and I know that my officemate has no sense of discretion whatsoever and that whenever I get frustrated with my advisor and talk to my officemate about it, he then tells at least some of it to this professor. So he knows what the issues are without me having to seem like I'm going behind my advisor's back or anything. Plus, he's ridiculously punctual, so at least that's one recommendation that'll be in on time. (One of my other references is always late with everything, and I know that my advisor never actually wrote recommendations for two people that he'd said he's write them for in the past few years.)

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Trying to get my ducks in a row. DH is sleeping because he is getting up at 1am to drive with a couple kids for an 'official visit' to a university in NC for basketball.

Aroo? Which?

All is well that ends in pizza.

People are having swine flu parties. Like chicken pox parties for kids, except that everyone tries to get swine flu.

Oh, for fuck's sake. ::has no other words::

If the party-goers stayed within their obviously stunted gene pool, this sort of thing would cull the herd. Too bad the rest of the world has to deal with the fallout.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Hil, he sounds like an excellent reference.

I'm going to go ask him for a recommendation letter tomorrow. Except that I'm not going to be in until after lunch tomorrow, and he's Orthodox and is probably leaving early. So I might ask him on Monday.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Every time I read about the replacement of original music in the DVDs of WKRP in Cincinatti, I get quite upset. It feels like someone ripped a part of my heart out.

It's two years since I heard about it, why does it still evoke such an instant reaction?

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

In a completely different sleeping arrangement quandry. This Christmas CJ and I are flying into SF and meeting up with K-Bug, We are going to spend a couple of nights at my dad's. His basement has two big beds in it, which would work out fine for us.

Tonight K-Bug asked about her Fiance coming to the Christmas Eve party, as he has in years past, and then staying the night with us. At MY dad's place. Where we are already doubling up. I don't know how my dad would feel about them sharing sleeping space together. In general I don't mind, but it isn't my home. And I don't want others to be uncomfortable. If it were my home, I wouldn't care as much.

To her credit, K-Bug said she would have the discussion with her Grrandfather (aka G'pa). We will see where that goes.
