So why do I always get the housekeeping bug after midnight?
Because you're seekritly one of the house elves? If so, one day you're going to make a woman very lucky.
I hate falling. It's never graceful. The falling, or the getting back up.
I know, dear. Especially in public.
ION, my good news of today: the man who sat next to me on the bus today was really respectful to my personal space, and made efforts to keep it. I forgot such a thing can exist. He asked permission to sit next to me, and kept distance of at least 2 cm from me at all times on a very crowded bus. I wish I could have think of something to say to him to tell him I appreciate his efforts, but couldn't think of nothing that wouldn't sound weird. He's my PC Barry of the day. I can't remember the last time that a man or a woman showed such respect to my personal space (I'm not considering the ultra orthodox religious men who wouldn't get near me because I a woman and hence filthy in it). I don't want to forget that this option exist ever again.
Glad you're doing ok, omnis.
{{{Kristin}}} Much peace~ma for that student's family and the whole school.
It's nice to hear of something going right, Shir. Decent guys to sit by on a bus, they are something to celebrate.
Kristin, best wishes and thoughts to you, and to the student's family and friends.
Ick - falling is indeed awful, omnis. I hope you haven't seriously hurt anything.
He's my PC Barry of the day.
Hee. Yay for nice people who respect your space. And I hope the moving and classes are going as well as possible, Shir.
The Girl has gone to Israel for the week. I'm going back into dissertation hell. 29 days to finish some discourse analysis, a lot of content analysis, at least two interviews (which also need writing up), and about 8000 words. I'm going to need a LOT of caffeine.
Best of luck, Seska. Kick their ass! (and oh, was it you that left the comment on my blog? It signed as a different user).
That was me. Odd - I wonder why it didn't register me. Next time I'll remember to sign it!
ETA: I see what happened. I have two blogs, one (closed) one read by my research participants, and my general 'lilwatchergirl' one. I was signed in to the other blog when I commented.
{{Kristin}} Peace and strength to all.
I'm doing NaBloPoMo (what a terrible acronym-type-thing that is) over at my blog this month. Didn't think it was a big enough event to put in Press, so it's here instead.
Kristin, I'm sorry for your school and the girl's family. I hope they can be comforted.
Cashmere, painless-dental-work~ma for Liv.
Cash, good luck to both you and Liv. Ellie had two cavities filled under sedation last week and it went really, really well. I was not allowed to be in there which helped a lot, I think (for me). Anyway, the one thing I screwed up was that I let her have some Sour Patch Kids afterwards (she really wanted that specific candy) and she bit her lip, leaving a *huge* sore. It's fine now, but I felt bad. I knew it was a bad choice, but I let her have some because of the sedation and because she was so specific.
