Does this network just exist to terrify parents?
Well, it is also there to give people overly romantic pictures of the world
'Shindig'
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I vaguely remember the true story that this one was based on. Delimar Vera. [link] The story is even freakier than I'd remembered it.
So sorry PixK. Peace to the former students memory.
Oh Kristin-- much ~ma to your student's family.
Much ~ma, Kristin.
This story is weird. The way the movie presented it, and the way I remember it first being reported, was that this baby was kidnapped by a distant relative, and then, six years later, the mother saw the little girl at a party and recognized her as her daughter. But after googling for some more information, I'm finding a bunch of articles quoting people who are cousins of both the kidnapper and the baby's real father who said that they'd suspected it for years and told the father to look into it, but he didn't do anything. sending the ma~~~ your way to you and the school. Which is headed Palo Alto way as well. My sister know one of the moms over there
Pix, tons of comfort~ma to you and the school.

ION, Netflix timed it perfect, Torchwood and Dr Who crossover episodes. Cool.
IOON, the MFY are one game away from earning the trophy again.
If I haven't found someone by next July or August, they are going to India in December, and they are taking me, and I will be married there.
Dude, do you WANT to get married? Or do you just want to shut up your Mom?
Seriously. Quit fiddling around with mantras you don't give a hell about and joking about ninjas. You're a grown up. People can't make you do these things.
If your priority is to make your parents happy then for heavens sake DO that. It's a choice. If you choose to wait around until you meet someone and fall in love that's another choice. You could chose to see a shrink. You can also choose to muddle along and bitch about it continually and be miserable and half-ass things that you think will keep people happy. Again this is a choice.
I realize these aren't easy choices to make, but half the time it seems like you don't realize THIS IS ALL UP TO YOU. You're an autonomous adult human being with a job and money and your health. You have nothing but choices. You are hugely blessed.
Do what you want to do. Your parents won't hate you forever -- they haven't yet, have they? They swung that knife over your neck when you changed majors, left school, didn't buy your uncle's car... it's toothless. Call their fucking bluff and do what you want. Pick what you want, and do it.
Or don't. But know that that too is a C.H.O.I.C.E.
Thanks for the ~ma. Suicide is always the worst type of student death to deal with, as awful as any death is. I can't imagine what her family is going through. Tomorrow is going to be really hard.
Sigh.
Anyway, I've spent the day grading and have finished all but four of my freshmen's papers, so I think I'm going to crawl into bed and try to think about happier things. Timelies, all.
