It took me four years to delurk there, because in an ironic twist, some of them write very well, the comment threads are really long, and there are a lot of in-jokes. Oh, and occasionally BNFs show up and crash the servers. We don't really have trouble reaching consensus at all, comparatively, I swear. Yes, that's frightening. But I made the Rescue List. So amyth, intern B and I dressed as steampunk Charlie's Angels. As expected, we confused the crap out of a lot of people. But they gave us first prize anyway!
Other costumes included: intern K as Michael Phelps (in warmup suit), Big Boss as Magnum PI (sans moustache, sadly), Frida Kahlo, Miss Saigon, a Pirate, and some silent dude in a mask who turned out to be our coworker who's retiring today.
After we walked by the judges, we "paraded" around the building and then came back to a conference room with lots of goodies.
Yeah, we celebrate Halloween. Although it wasn't quite the same since the #1 celebrator got laid off last month. Still, we did it in his honor.
Now I'm sitting at my desk in my costume. We'll see how long that lasts.
