Hil, tell your friend that if H1N1 had appeared six months earlier than it did, it would have been in this year's flu innoculation. Virus vaccination is well-trod ground. I can't wait until we can get ours. The kids have all had their seasonal flu inoculations already. Scott and I have to get those.
Kristin, I was thinking about teachers, too. The only thing I can come up with is that you're (generally) working with a healthy population. Healthcare workers are tending to people whose resistance is already down.
