I found a box of vegan mac and cheese mix at the back of a shelf. It's been sitting there for a while, kind of scaring me, but I think I'm desperate enough that I'll give it a try.

The boxed one might not be very tasty, but it has a loooong shelf life.
reahsh: the reason I respond to P-C. 1) I have a DH that has to learn not to let his family push the buttons -- and he needed to be around someone that couldn't be pushed ( me) 2) He is learning, if slower than one might hope. It took him a while to even understand that his family might be way over invested in his everyday life.
And I am with Laura, you people don't see the sympathy on my face?
