Angel: Will you just shut up for once?! Illyria: What? Angel: My God, the speechifying. Has it ever occurred to you that now might not be the best time for when-we-were-muck stories?

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"We're all stories, in the end. Just make it a good one, eh?"

I've skipped, seen I can't make reason with any of the posts I've seen, read 20 posts before the recent ones, and still, I feel like I'm bursting in.

This.

The internship goes well. The sociology class that's in English is absolutely fantastic.

Glad to hear it. And re your pretty boy in the class: hee.

Long, long day. Six weeks left till dissertation deadline. I just have to stay awake long enough to get it done by then, and all will be well. OK, sleep now.

For those who share my love of Mike Rowe, he has a website called mikeroweWORKS.com, [link] wherein he talks about working, the people who work, has some videos of people working, and has links to various and sundry things Dirty Jobs-related and not.

mmm, Mike Rowe . . .

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

So, while we're talking about San Francisco -- I'm going to be there for a conference in January. What kind of weather should I expect? What kind of neighborhood is the Moscone Center in?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I think I've owned a house with a yard for too many years to be able to cope with San Francisco this side of suddenly coming into millions. I know my genealogy too well to hope for a mysterious bequest.

The line for flu shots was in the pediatric area, and a couple of boys who looked around 4 were watching Dora, who is being chased by bad guys in a castle. One little boy says excitedly, "They don't know what's under there!" Another says, in world-weary tones, "Oh, *they* know. They just ask us because it's more educational."

Always Anti-fascist!

It looks like Rowe is dipping his toe in public policy, just a hair. Talk about dirty jobs... Good for him, though.

not your mom's socks.

Hivemind medical question for cysty ovarian buffistas - I'm waiting on a call back from my doctor but has any one had a cyst that started to intermittently throb? I've been super stressy and migrainy and now this is happening. Any wisdom welcome. Or distraction from googling this and coming up with bad stuff. I skipped the last 150 posts and I will try to go back and read.

That, and there are pictures you can set up as desktop backgrounds. I now have one of him sitting on a boat and grinning.

Always Anti-fascist!

I have Keith Olbermann as my desktop. I can be shallow and look deep and playable at the same time. Although I might want Dirty wallpaper sometime...thanks for the tip.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

What kind of weather should I expect? What kind of neighborhood is the Moscone Center in?

Chilly but changeable - bring layers. I'll let someone else answer the neighborhood question.
