Thank you!

Spike's Bitches 44: It's about the rules having changed.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
Hap Palmer's "Witches Brew". Now I have to google to find out who Hap Palmer is.
Congratulations, Gris! (Also, from everything you've said in the past about this woman and this relationship, I am totally unsurprised. Delighted, but unsurprised. It's seemed like exactly where you were both headed for a while.)
Earlier today Matilda was all about being Raven (apparently I'm supposed to be Starfire), but we went to a local shop a little while ago and she was overjoyed to get a purple flower fairy outfit. And put it on as soon as we got home (she had to be dissuaded from putting it on in the middle of the bookstore, where they were trying to set up for an author reading/signing). Now our couch is covered with fairy skirt glitter.
Other recent Matilda stuff: She's been refusing to do any number of big-girl things (zipping her PJs, pulling up her diaper, using utensils) with the sorrowful excuse, "I can't do it. I'm a kitty. I got kitty paws." Last night we went out to Kezar to throw around the Nerf football, and she wanted me to throw the football. I said sorrowfully, "I can't do it. I'm a puppy. I got puppy paws."
"Oh, Mommy, you can do it," she said. "You got puppy hands ."
She's also started pep-talking me with "You can do it! You're a mommy!"
Possible cereal: Oh, Kristin, those look so elegant! LOVE.

Kitty Paws has been used since Hec told it to us so much that it is practically a sponsor of our vacation. HA! Your daughter, I could eat her up with a spoon.
Oh, I have some pictures up. [link]
The recording in the background of this video is definitely the one that I remember: [link] Now I've got to google Hap Palmer too, to figure out why I know this song.
Also, if anyone is interested, I have some restaurant reviews up for San Francisco. Napa will hopefully be up tomorrow.
A bunch of places including: Scala's Bistro, Eos, Zam Zam, Dottie's, Anchor Brewing, Monk's Kettle, Slanted Door, Zazie, and Moylan's Brewpub.
OK, that song was on an album of kids' songs release in 1978, and I was born in 1980, so I guess I learned it as a kid. I don't think I remember having that album -- if I did, it was probably on a cassette tape. Maybe one of my teachers played it at school.
edit: none of the other songs on that album seem at all familiar. I guess I heard it in school.
Gris! Spill! Congrats!
