It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risqué (and frisqué), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I don't know much about birth, but deciding on a home birth on that day seems like a bad idea, yes?

So, I kind of hate to put myself in the same category as any Duggars (Duggers?), but I made the decision to have a homebirth once I was in labor. I just couldn't bear the idea of going to a hospital. Having said that, though, I had a trained and certified midwife attend my homebirth, it was my second birth, and I was fairly well-read on the topic, so it's not like I just decided out of the blue to stay home.

I haven't watched the show, but it's not uncommon for women to plan homebirths but just not make that information common knowledge before the birth.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

I think I would have freaked the fuck out if Aims had revealed she'd been planning on having a homebirth on the day she was in labor.

"Oh, no...we're staying home."

"WE CAN'T STAY HOME! I PACKED ALL THIS SHIT! I HAVE LISTS! AND WE DON'T OWN A MACHINE THAT GOES 'PING'! GET IN THE FUCKING CAR!"

Well, it was something I had thought about a lot but hadn't been sure. Although I had talked to Joe at 5, told him I was wanting a homebirth but knew he was hesitant. He said I should do whatever I thought was best and we'd talk about it later. Then, an hour later, I was in labor.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Job~ma to DebetEsse.

I packed about 80% of what I'll need the next week. My next task to to clear the bed from all of the stuff on it and change the sheets. Since my recent meltdown I didn't pack anything to the move, so I'll have A LOT to pack tomorrow. That Guy runs every now and then (when I'm not facing another Rain of Shit, that is) on my mind. I just Wanna Fucking Know, y'know?

But now, since you've mentioned Mulan, you made me want to see it. So now, I have a hot cup of cocoa and YouTube. Let's experiment, Internet!

So, Ellie is home sick today. She puked at school this morning and they said she wasn't herself so I went and got her. I just now offered her macaroni and cheese for lunch and made the mistake of offering before verifying that we have it. Now, she's dead set on macaroni and I can't find it anywhere.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Our wings are not tired.

Speaking of packing, my boyfriend is moving across the country in 2.5 weeks. What's he doing in his 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo (that he plans to clean out and rent)? Going through each and every book to see what he can do without. He's been doing it for four days.

He so needs a MsBelle to help him.

The problem is he really, really doesn't want to move, so he is fighting it and struggling and it's awful. I've offered to help, and will, but he has to sort his own demons. Still, I found my new place and moved in three weeks, with a full-time job, so I know all that has to happen; it's a lot of work. And I'm mad organized compared to him. Last night I suggested that he just drive out and start his new job, and come back and deal with his place in January. I think the new job will kick him into gear, and he'll be much more energetic and focused in January. Besides, does anyone really move in Nov or Dec? I think his place will sit vacant those months anyway.

“Not dead yet!”

Back from doctor and clutching prescription for sweet, sweet narcotics that will hopefully help me sleep and keep me from turning into a monstrous hell beast. This sleeping on my back stuff is for the birds, man. Hate, hate, HULK SMASH hate it.
